I am a figurative painter, focusing primarily on the male figure. By working with the same models over long periods of time, the paintings reveal a strong sense of intimacy and desire between artist and subject. The paintings subtly invite narratives of sociopolitical issues to the forefront of contemporary culture and figurative painting. Formal strategies with paint are employed, juxtaposing dissolve with evolve, construction with destruction, fluid with static; with the male figure as subject/object of desire.

I have an MFA from California College of the Arts. My work has been shown in San Francisco, LA, Portland, Miami, NYC, Berlin and Ptown. I live and work in Boston, Massachuesetts.
